Rooted in the Word. Growing in Faith. Transforming Communities.

We believe that true and lasting transformation—whether in a person, a family, or a rural village—begins with a seed: the Word of God. As Jesus taught, the condition of the soil—the heart—determines whether that seed will take root, bear fruit, or fade away.

A Seed, A Change explores how biblical truth speaks into every part of life. From the planting of the Word, (Seed), to the preparation of hearts and minds (Soil), to the evidence of growth and impact (Fruit), and the call to remain firmly established in Christ (Grounded)—each section reflects our desire to see the word of God empower, educate, and transform lives.

We believe God’s Word offers spiritual nourishment and practical wisdom for living, working, and building resilient communities. Regardless of where you are in your spiritual journey, we invite you to grow with us. Let us be deeply rooted in Christ and purposefully engaged in the world.

Our humble beginnings:

“ a Seed a Change… “Empower. Educate. Transform.”  (aSaC) began with a simple yet powerful idea – that every positive transformation starts with a single seed. Inspired by our own experiences of witnessing the profound impact of knowledge sharing in driving change in our rural communities in Kenya, we envisioned a platform where individuals could come together to plant the seeds of inspiration, innovation, and empowerment.

Driven by a shared passion for making a difference and a belief in the power of collective action, we set out to create a virtual space where ideas could take root, flourish, and spread, ultimately leading to meaningful and sustainable change in communities worldwide.

I’m Olive Bexten, a Kenyan-born media and communications professional based in Germany, with more than two decades of experience in journalism, publishing, digital communication and content development. Much of my professional work has centred on rural development, agriculture, and the realities facing communities across the world.

A Seed A Change (aSaC) grew from a desire to reflect on rural development issues
through the truth of Scripture and to explore, in simple and practical terms, what
biblical principles can teach us about how we live, work, and contribute to change.

Over the years, I have become increasingly interested in how biblical principles such as stewardship, sowing and reaping, justice, responsibility, discipleship and care for others speak into everyday life and the challenges facing our communities. I wanted a space where I could study these connections more deeply, reflect on them honestly and share what I was learning with others.

aSaC is therefore not simply a website or professional initiative. It is an evolving
personal project—a place for Scripture-based reflection, learning and thoughtful
engagement with questions of faith, stewardship, rural development and responsible action.

My hope is that what is planted here will encourage others to examine Scripture for themselves, recognise the significance of seemingly small acts of faithfulness, and discover how the seeds we sow through our words, choices, abilities, resources and influence can contribute to meaningful change.

A Seed A Change — Empower. Educate. Transform.
